Very hot Fusion Frittata – Italien trifft auf Karibik / Italy meets the Caribbean

Zutaten / Ingredients
4 Blätter Mangold / 4 leafs of Swiss chard
2 in Oel eingelegte getrocknete Tomaten / 2 dried tomatoes in olive oil
1/2 Zwiebel / 1/2 onion
1 EL Olivenöl / 1 tb olive oil
2 Eier (M) / 2 eggs (M)
1 TL Llewellyn’s Hot Pepper Sauce / 1 ts Llewellyn’s Hot Pepper Sauce
1 EL Rahm / 1 tb cream
50 g Provolone /50 g Provolone cheese
Salz, schwarzer Pfeffer / salt, black pepper
Zubereitung / Instructions
1. Mangoldblätter in grobe Stücke schneiden. / Cut Swiss chard into coarse pieces .
2. Zwiebel und Tomaten fein schneiden. / Cut onion and dried tomatoes into small pieces.
3. Olivenöl in eine Bratpfanne geben und Mangold und Zwiebeln darin 15 Minuten weich
dünsten. / Add olive oil into a pan and cook onions and Swiss chard for about 15 minutes at
medium heat.
4. Eier, Llewellyn’s Hot Pepper Sauce, geriebener Provolone, Rahm, Salz und Pfeffer in einen
Messbecher geben und alles gut vermischen. Zum Schluss getrocknete Tomaten zugeben. /
Crack the eggs into a bowl. Add Llewellyn’s Hot Pepper Sauce, grated Provelone, cream and
season with salt and pepper. Whisk the mixture until the yolks are mixed into the white.Add
tomatoes.
5. Eiermasse über den Mangold giessen und ohne umzurühren ca. 8 Minuten bei mittlerer
Hitze stocken lassen. Die Frittata mit einem Teller wenden und ein paar weitere Minuten
stocken lassen.Pour the egg mixture over the Swiss Chard. Tilt the pan to make sure the
eggs settle evenly over all the Swiss chard. Cook for around 8 minutes on medium heat.
Turn the frittata cooked side up on to a plate (patch up the pieces if it breaks) and slide the
frittata back into the pan, soft side down and cook for a few minutes.
6. Frittata in Stücke schneiden und servieren. / Cut into wedges and serve.
